Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does
not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to
a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you
are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are
having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if
you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.

Title:
when I boot ubuntu 14.04 lts a black screen open
Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I have a Laptop Dell Inspiron M5110 with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I
reinstalled the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS now with kernel version 3.19. So
every time when turn on my laptop the grup show my systems. The first
is Ubuntu. When ubuntu is selected the screen turns off and after some
seconds turns on, I hear the sound of the beginning of ubuntu but the
screen is black.
Workaround that I found:
Close the screen cover of my laptop and open again, the imagem appear
requesting my login.
Does anybody knows how to fix it ?
Best regards,
Daniel Sobrinho
