Your installation medium is corrupt.  You will need to recreate it and
may want to run the "check disc" option at the boot menu to verify its
integrity.

  installer crash installing 15.04 from DVD

  Invalid

Bug description:
  Tried installing 15.04 from USB flash drive -- failed with something
  like error writing files, move to cooler location

  Tried installing from DVD and got the same error

  Installing to an Acer C170 with 8 Gbytes RAM and Crucial 250 Gbyte
  SSD, using external mouse because trackpad won't work

  Trying to get 15.04 installed then troubleshoot trackpad -- NO JOY
