Public bug reported:

After upgrading to 15.10 there is no colon in prompt for root disk password.
AFAIU it's set in /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-top/cryptroot:291 on the assumption that plymouth will add it. But it'll not, apparently.

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10
Package: cryptsetup 2:1.6.6-5ubuntu2
Uname: Linux 4.3.0-040300rc7-generic x86_64
ApportVersion: 2.19.1-0ubuntu3
Architecture: amd64
CurrentDesktop: KDE
Date: Tue Oct 27 03:38:58 2015
SourcePackage: cryptsetup
UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)
crypttab: lvm-ocz UUID=6736f0a4-5674-44aa-bf5a-4f5996a467ff none luks,discard

** Affects: cryptsetup (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
