Your disk appears to have been partitioned using an ancient partitioning
tool that started the first partition only 32k into the disk instead of
at the 1 MiB mark, which does not leave enough room for grub.  You
should repartition the disk to fix this.

Bug description:
  During install of Wily on my Desktop PC
  (https://gist.github.com/anonymous/3203c7c5a43a509c0f22), I selected
  Brtfs as filesystem for my root directory, at the end of the
  installation got an error message saying "unable to install GRUB in
  /dev/sda" I am attaching a screenshot.
