Fixed by upstream in version 1.40.
All supported versions of Ubuntu are using > 1.40

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: os-prober

  Os-prober mounts file systems of running VMs which leads to the kernel thinking that this FS needs repair, and then repairs it.
  It's not listed that this happens when using grub. After looking /var/log/ it seems 30+ file-systems in LVM-volumes were damaged.
