It looks like you did not configure an EFI system partition but are
trying to install in EFI mode. Did you configure an EFI system
partition?

1) Version: ubuntu mate 16.04 beta 2
2) Condition: fresh install, ubuntu and linux mint work on it and install fine.
3) What I expected to happen: finish installation
4) What happened instead: installation failed at grub2 install, then crash.
