The code branch you'll want to start with should be "lp:software-
properties", so then you can also propose the merge against "lp
:software-properties", and things should work correctly for a merge.

I'm happy to sponsor this either via code branches, or with a patch
attached here; whatever is easiest for you, so that you don't have to do
the same work over and over again :)

  The add-apt-repository tool has apparently gained a new option to
  update the package cache. However, the manpage does not reflect this
  (as seen on http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/wily/en/man1/add-apt-
  repository.1.html or
  http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/xenial/en/man1/add-apt-
  repository.1.html). While the tool's own help text does mention it,
  this should be documented in the manpage as well.
