  no audio on g4 mac mini

Status in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I just installed ubuntu 12 on a g4 mac mini. no audio, 
  in the audio preferences, under output/play sound with, there is just 'output dummy'
  but when I was running the live cd, audio was present
