I have the same problem using Cisco Linksys Wifi USB key on Ubuntu 14.04
using wily-kernel "4.2.0-30-generic x86_64". I have reported a bug
1550915 and it was marked as a duplicate of this bug.

If someone having the same problem. I have found a work-around. I have
downgraded my kernel to 3.13.0-79-generic (kernel 3.13. was the one
officially released with Ubuntu 14.04), then purged ndiswrapper software
and installed it again to make sure kernel module was recompiled against
current kernel.
