Title:
  updated, now almost nothing works

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  since the update, i receive error messages on pretty much everything.
  I cannot even mount other devices to my laptop without recieving
  errors.  Im then forced to use my wifes laptop (using windows 10) to
  do the simplest things, like transferring music files.
