Bug description:
  upgrade from 14.04 to 14.10 fails. Objective of upgrade is no sound after installing ubuntu 14.04 
  I am using HP 530. 
  I already tried all online help like alsa mixer set up refresh etc. 
  I know hardware is not issue. 

  Let me know how can i have sound on my machine.
