  Grub fails to install

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Trying to install Ubuntu 16.04 EFI on a Dell Latitude E7470 laptop. It
  gets to the end of the install process but then fails to install grub.
  (I'm afraid I didn't write down the exact error message.)
