I'm making this a duplicate of bug 1604704 now which is clearer.
The fix for bug 1604872 has not solved it.

Apps can't connect to the user's session bus, even though it exists

[regression] GTK apps hang for a long time on start-up under Xmir (and less under native Mir) failing to find dbus
