I marked it as a security bug because changes in Samba configuration,
that might have security changes, will not be taken into effect until
the server host is re-initiated

Title:
  Cannot stop samba service

Status in samba package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Install a new computer. Install samba. Issue "service samba stop" do a
"service samba status" and it will show "nmbd is running, smbd is
  running"

No decent way to stop samba. Only one is to repeatedly issue "killall
  smbd"
