Bug description:
  The gcc-4.8 package in trusty was updated to  4.8.4-2ubuntu1~14.04.1
  fixing multiple bugs while the cross compilers are still based on
  4.8.2-16ubuntu4 or older versions of the gcc sources.

  Acceptance criteria: Packages build and pass simple smoke tests.
