Title:
virtualbox upstream glitch
Status in virtualbox package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
sore subject or not, OSX support is thrown to the pisser due to a
glitch in the boot of the installer cd.
with qemu, this glitch can be avoided. virtualbox ignores the setting
to do so, causing the install disc to lock up the app when the video
output comes up.
the fault is with the MSR responsible for power management. IGNORE it,
and the disc works fine. Virtualbox has no option, and ignores the
global OS host setting to do so.Therefore one is not able to
virtualize the OSX at this time.
Testing with yosemite.(yo sem it ee)
This is why people are reporting errors they cant get around. May be
limited to unices, people seem to be using on sindows without hassle.
