  Xubuntu 16.10: update-manager display issue

Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  When I click on "Details" during the package download phase, the
  window expands but the text box showing the downloads fails to expand
  beyond one or two lines.  Only when shifting to terminal mode does the
  text window expand.
