[Bug 1644998] [NEW] not able to install any software....and while updating os runs partial upgrade...there was amessage saying can't install ubuntu desktop

after installinf ubuntu14.04 while upgrading os didn't updated properly
after thet every time i try to install any software like vlc media
player or any other software there was a message saying package
dependacies cannot be resolved im not able to play any video file and
cant install a single software....i reinstalled the full os but the
proble remains the same.....
