You have been subscribed to a public bug:

The column formatting of the tool is broken, mind how values are in rows
instead of alined to the columns:

   op/s rpc bklog
 131.86
	   0.00
read:
ops/s kB/s kB/op retrans avg RTT (ms)	avg exe (ms)
		 10.613
	2434.512
	229.385
       0 (0.0%)
	 11.396
	 11.418
write:
ops/s kB/s kB/op retrans avg RTT (ms)	avg exe (ms)
		  0.291
	 61.428
	211.296

There seems to be a patch for this already: http://linux-nfs.vger.kernel.narkive.com/tjITNl10/patch-nfsiostat-restore-output-format

To reproduce just run nfsiostat with some NFS mounts, nothing special
about it.

Version used to get this behaviour is:
lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID:	Ubuntu
Description:	Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Release:	16.04
Codename:	xenial

** Affects: nfs-utils (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
