It looks like you've installed the mplayer package from a PPA (see
VarLogDistupgradeAptlog.txt) and that is causing a failure to calculate
the upgrade.  Please use the tool ppa-purge to remove that PPA and
downgrade the packages to the official Ubuntu ones and then try the
upgrade again.
