Public bug reported:
Hi,
I've been using the 'calendar' tool from this package for several years
now without any problem.
A few month ago (after I upgraded to Ubuntu 17.04, if I recall
correctly), I've noticed a very annoying change: now, between every
'normal' output lines, is added a blank line. This makes the output very
large where it is not useful.
Also, I found absolutely no way to remove these extraneous outputs...
This is particularly annoying since I'm calling calendar from my .bashrc
, and now I've almost a quarter to a half the screen already used when I
open a terminal...
Now, my output looks like:
$ calendar -f ushollidays
Apr 04 Tandy Corp. acquires Radio Shack, 1963 (9 stores)
Apr 04 Martin Luther King assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee, 1968
Apr 04 NATO Established, 1949
Apr 04 Gandalf visits Bilbo
Now, my output looks like:
Before it looked like:
$ calendar -f ushollidays
Apr 04 Tandy Corp. acquires Radio Shack, 1963 (9 stores)
Apr 04 Martin Luther King assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee, 1968
Apr 04 NATO Established, 1949
Apr 04 Gandalf visits Bilbo
Could you please restore the previous output, or at least add an option
to remove the additional useless blank lines?
Thanks
** Affects: bsdmainutils (Ubuntu)
