*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1437797 ***

The output of efibootmgr -v shows that this is a system whose firmware
has non-standard tagging of boot entries in nvram:

Boot0002* Ubuntu PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1f,0x2)/Sata(0,0,0)/HD(1,GPT
,32d16afd-44eb-47ea-
8cf4-33ab0ea48d46,0x800,0x100000)/File(\EFI\ubuntu\shimx64.efi)A01 ..

Marking it as a duplicate of bug #1437797, but ultimately this is a
firmware bug.

Title:
Secure Boot Does not allow Ubuntu to boot even after creating ESP
partition from ubuntu and erasing everything else

Status in shim package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
This is a Acer system with UEFI and Secure Boot option

Installed the latest firmware and also installed all TPM modules from the vendor.
Freshly installed Ubuntu 16.04.02 by choosing 'Erase everything and install Ubuntu' installation and update went fine but when re booted the system No Bootable Media error was thrown.

Though system is working by installing a binary key using
Mokmanager.efi but don't know why this step was needed also the system
crashes if there is any update.

  Cheers
  -Nitin
