  upgrade to Mint 18.3 not in edit if system is in french

Bug description:
  I have tried hard to upgrade one of our computer from 18.2 to 18.3 by 
  following steps at:
  https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3462

  I finally tought that maybe the "Upgrade to Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia" might not show up
  in Edit menu of mintupdate, because the system was not in english but french.

  And it did appears, as soon as I change language, logout, and login
  again.

  Now that I think about it... I did not try to logout/login without
  changing language.

  I did upgrade after that without problems.
