[Bug 1740185] [NEW] never able to complete ubuntu installation on intel Nuc7i7bnh

tried all manual partitions options and default installer options, -
nothing works tried to install 17.10 earlier, didnt work 16.4 is noted
to have problems and hence tried to install 16.10 with no success. Its a
plain vanilla installation with no other OS and still doesnt work
