It appears that duplicity is now a Suggests: for deja-dup and not
installed by default. I will update the ubuntu-mate-meta package to
include duplicity.

Bug description:
  Ubuntu Mate 17.10

  Dejadup is not working b/c duplicity is not installed. After a manual
  install, Deja-Dup works as expected.
