  loading bash-completion at start of bash takes up to 120 seconds

Bug description:
  same issue when invoking `bash` (in `gnome-terminal`) and starting
  `xterm` and `gnome-terminal` itself. I attached the output of `bash -x
  ~/.bashrc` and entered `aaa` when the script was stuck for > 10
  seconds.
