Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

This looks like local corruption or misconfiguration, rather than a bug
in Ubuntu. You can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem
here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community

If you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful
to read "How to report bugs effectively"
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem,
explain why you believe this is a bug rather than a problem specific to
your system, and then change the bug status back to New.

Without steps to reproduce the problem, there is little that can be done
on this bug. I'll mark this bug as Incomplete for now, pending someone
else confirming that it is a bug or unless someone can provide steps to
reproduce.

Please do report any other bugs you may find.

Title:
package samba 2:4.4.5+dfsg-2ubuntu5.2 failed to install/upgrade:
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
  status 1

Status in samba package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I was not aware of any bug. However I have received a message every time I have run Ubuntu over the last 2 or 3 days (perhaps 10 -12 times) saying that a system error had occured and inviting me to report it. On this and only this occasion has the error been followed by questions and this web page opening in my browser. As questions were centred around Samba and Windows network it could coincide with a wifi enabled Epson printer that my son has installed and, apparently connected to our home network. I have not made any attempt to connect to the network but I did notice on 3rd February that the printer appeared in network settings. I don't know if this is of any help.
  Regards, Brian
