Zesty is on 4.5 so this is Fix released there, have to look at Yakkety as reported.
We also have to check Xenial in combination with an SRU for bug 1664136.

  Testing samba-4.4.5 on ubuntu 16.10 and encounter below errors

   1. Cannot demote domain controller

  [Test Case]
   1. Setup samba4 AD DC according to http://www.tecmint.com/install-samba4-active-directory-ubuntu/
   2. Setup another samba4 and join it to the AD domain (http://www.tecmint.com/join-additional-ubuntu-dc-to-samba4-ad-dc-failover-replication/)
   3. Try to demote the RODC: sudo samba-tool domain demote %RODCNAME% -U%username%
