will need to use a supported release.

  failed installing grub2

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  every thing was fine and it was installing.but the grub boot loader 2
  is not installed.i tried 10 times .but same problem.i have windows10.i
  want to dual boot with ubuntu.i tried with two os as 15.10 and 16.04
  ,but same problem in both case.what to do now?plz answer."grub-efi-
  amd64-signed" package failed to installed into / terget/.it is the msg
  coming while it fails to install.
