  Fails with PhET simulations from U of Colorado

Status in icedtea-web package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hello,

  When I try to launch Java physics simulation applets from the University of Colorado PhET web site I get
  Fatal: Initialization Error: Could not initialize application.

  You can try it yourself by loading this applet:
  https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/energy-skate-park-basics

  Note that when I install the Oracle version of Java it works OK.  (But
  I would prefer to use the open source Java)

  My setup is:
  Ubuntu 14  release 14.04   running on Parallels desktop
  Firefox 29.0
  icedtea-plugin 1.5-1ubuntu1
  icedtea-netx-common 1.5-1ubuntu1
  openjdk-7-jre 7u55-2.4.7-1ubuntu1

  Have others had this problem?
