Possible to update the MBR on the SSD can Help.
Before last year I had XUBUNTU 16.04 installed to try it, it worked, but the Applications I use daily were not so nice. So use Version 14.04 up to today.
I updated the Mainboard Firmware just before I tried to install the new Version 16.04, without other effects.

System Report that it can not find Grub Installer.
I tried to install the new Release on the first SSD in CMS-Mode and without.
Afterward I wanted go on the second SSD and got the same Trouble.
