[Bug 1702335] [NEW] package grub-efi-amd64-signed (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Public bug reported:

in order to fix this problem i did:

apt-get purge grub\*
apt-get install grub-efi
apt-get autoremove
update-grub

and before that in order to boot the system i had to manually install grub from a live-usb:
mount /dev/sda2 /mnt
grub-install /dev/sda --root-directory=/mnt

the installed seems to mess up if your computer does efi boot but not
secure boot.
