Title:
Grub boot loader didn't install so OS not able to boot up after
  installation with multipath enable

Status in multipath-tools package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
On UCS-S3260-DHBA IT-HBA card with multipath enabled during the
installation, Grub boot loader didn't seem to install on mutipath
device so after installation it will not boot into OS. Seeing issue
with Legacy boot install on Ubuntu 16.04/16.04.01 and UEFI
installation was fine with multipath enabled during the installation.

Tried installing without multipath enabled during the installation and
it failed to install after choosing the drive.

Ubuntu 14.04.05 with multipath enabled during the installation on this
  UCS-S3260-DHBA IT-HBA controller was fine.

Ubuntu 16.04/16.04.01 with multipath enabled during the install on
CSC-C3X60-HBA IT-HBA controller was fine as well. So we are expecting
it should work on UCS-S3260-DHBA IT-HBA controller.

As of now, on UCS-S3260-DHBA IT-HBA controller, user has to install
regular OS install without editing "install disk-
  detect/multipath/enable=true" at installer prompt.
