I also have a raid, but the raid is not for boot only storage.

Installer tried to use the raid to install grub, hope its not trashed my
raid.

Selected the actual drive and it still would not install, then crashed
completely.

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 17.04 installation was on assembled software raid partitions. 
  Installation process could not install bootloader on "/dev/sdg /dev/sdf", after I replaced to only /dev/sdf, the grub installed is crushed.
