Yep, confirmed. You just have to let the system complete a software
update. Then the problem goes away (no reboot required).

Bug description:
  Running `ubuntu-bug gnome-shell` from within an installed artful
  system claims that it is not an official ubuntu package. Running it
  from the live CD session works fine.
