Please not for me this bug prevents me from performing updates to system. 
i can only run Ubuntu, with Linux 4.8.0-54-generic.

If i run the 4.10.0-24 or 4.10.0-22 the system will halt at a black screen and go no farther.
Also if i attempt to install updates or repair anything in the system; the two above linix version loaders change. Originally they were 4.10.0-10 and 4.10.0-13.
