Subject: Got it

The problem is making a game that's "worth it". MMOs are huge
undertakings. They require multiple years of development, hundreds of
millions in production costs. It's hard to get a publisher to fund
a project with that kind of cost if you're going to be taking huge
risks with the game's structure. That's why you don't see many MMOs
that break away from the Theme-Park setup WoW runs with. It's a lesser
risk than doing something completely "new" because the existing setup
has been proven to work already. Publishers hedge their bets on the
risk of making an MMO by keeping the structure that already works with
one or two changes.

But if you go that route, you end up competing on the same ground
with a game that has had 10 years to establish itself and develop
content. You are simply not going to be able to match the amount
of content WoW has in the 5 or so years it takes to develop a new MMO.
Not while they are constantly developing new content while you're
stuck developing the engine for your new game. Then when people play
it, it becomes hard for them to deem it worth the cost of playing
when the estalished game has a similar structure but more content.

Title:
mdadm should be used for fakeraid (instead of dmraid)

Status in debian-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in mdadm package in Ubuntu:

Status in partman-md package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
mdadm now support external metadata and can hadle fakeraid better than dmraid:
  https://raid.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/RAID_setup#External_Metadata
  http://download.intel.com/design/intarch/PAPERS/326024.pdf

It seems that dmraid is no more developed (only maintenance), so
ubuntu should use mdadm instead of dmraid for fakeraid.

Actually, it's not possible to setup a new ubuntu install with mdadm
fakeraid (tried 12.04 and 12.10 alpha 2 alternate cd): only dmraid is
  offered.
