  xp stop booting after each grub(grub menu?) update

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub-installer

  Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
  Release: 10.04
   Every time grub changes something i get only blinking cursor after selecting xp from boot menu. Each time I must boot to recovery with windows cd and issue "fixboot" command to fix this.
  It wasn't an issue on 9.10
