  Lubuntu 16.10 installer crashed on hardware configuration

  New

Bug description:
  I'm a new Ubuntu user just trying to install this onto my HP Pavilion
  laptop. I downloaded the Lubuntu 16.10 ISO and put it on a bootable
  USB.  Ran the installer, but it crashed during the hardware
  configuration.  Being new to all of this, I can't make heads or tails
  of what all these logs are telling me.  Any help would be appreciated.
