Title:
python-imaging:i386 is not installable on 16.10

Status in python-imaging package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Cannot install python-imaging:i386. At least package apitrace:i386
  depends on it (see:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apitrace/+bug/1641275), and
will not therefore install. When trying to install python-imaging:i386
  (on a 64-bit system) I get:

  ---

Package python-imaging:i386 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
    python-pil python-pil:i386

E: Package 'python-imaging:i386' has no installation candidate

  ---

  Description:	Ubuntu 16.10
  Release:	16.10
