Best to not line in those countries then. If the government is going to
dictate how to live to that extreme, you might as well give the kids to
the government at the beginning and stay out of the  process. I
experienced  corporal punishment as a kid as well as  many  generations
from the past and  most are fine.

If anything, all the "time out corner" babies are  the  ones  who end
up going out and causing the  most  trouble because they do not
understand the limits. Just sit in a corner and wait  is all they end up
understanding, not that if they do something, bad things can happen to
them.


OP, I am  sorry  for your  situation,  that sounds like it is beyond corporal punishment. Move out and move on.
