Something seems to be broken on your system as your DistroRelease is
showing as yakkety, but your /etc/apt/sources.list file contains xenial
in it.
I'm not really sure how to sort this out but the first step would get
get you runing yakkety. You might try reinstalling the base-files
package e.g.:
"sudo apt-get install --reinstall base-files"
Or edit your sources.list file to have yakkety instead of xenial and
then run "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade".
