You are trying to install in EFI mode, and while you initially had an
EFI system partition, it appears that you deleted it.  You need to have
one to install in EFI mode.

Bug description:
  installing onto a new udoo x86 advanced plus.  has mmcblk (32G), ssd
  (250G, m.2 ssd), and external sata hdd, 80G.

  grub doesn't like something.  was supposed to install onto the mmcblk.
