We apologise for the late response, but Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal
reached EOL on October 28, 2012. See this document for currently
supported Ubuntu releases:

Please upgrade to the latest version and re-test.  If the problem is
still reproducible, please update this bug with the new information.

Bug description:
  I've never had a problem with this before - but I a not sure that I've
  installed software while also running MS Vista in a VM either - I
  believe it is seeing the Vista (running in Virtual Box) and that is
  where it is then trying to use windows file sharing features.. (I hope
  that makes sense)
