There should be no need to set your system to legacy boot in order to
install Ubuntu.  What error did you get when installing?

Bug description:
  so basically i tried to install ubuntu alongside my windows, then
  ubuntu could'nt be installed correctly so i changed my boot in the
  bios setup to legacy boot and now i can only run ubuntu .. im afraid
  of loosing my data on windows so please help .
