Title:
Grub Text Color w/ Splash Image

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

On Ubuntu Karmic, I recently tried configuring Grub2 with splash
images. Following the directions on the community documentation, I
applied the image successfully. However, the text colors where black
  with highlighted OS being magenta.

I checked the /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme file and found the color
  settings as follows:

  set menu_color_normal=white/black
  set menu_color_highlight=black/white

Running grub without splash image renders text colors correctly.
