Title:
apt-xapian-index uses too much cpu load

Status in apt-xapian-index package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When ever apt-xpain-index runs my CPU is consumed and my fans start
running. It makes doing other things hard. I have seen suggestions
like remove it or move the cron job to monthly instead of weekly. I
think there should be a better solution to this.
