Thanks for filing this bug in Ubuntu.

The attached logs show that the samba services failed to start, but not
why.

Could you please attach the following files to this bug:
/etc/samba/smb.conf
/var/log/samba/log* <-- all files that start with "log" in the /var/log/samba directory

It's possible that a configuration option that was valid in a previous
version is now invalid,

I'll mark this bug as incomplete until you attach those files.

  Not experienced enough to comment. Installation failed since last Installation of Ubuntu!
  Now system not used for 4 months being absent. Installation failedd again. NAS does not work properly.
