That's all right.
It was a suggestion of Jeremy, a fellow Ubuntu contributor, to post the
bug and see.
PS : À quand la prochaine édition de « Simple comme Ubuntu » ? :-)

Title:
Removing the extension Ubuntu Dock uninstalls ubuntu-desktop
Status in ubuntu-meta package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
In the Ubuntu session, if you only want to remove the extension Ubuntu
Dock, it also removes the package ubuntu-desktop.
Why removing only one extension would do that ?
Do both need to be tied ?
Earlier, it was possible to remove the extension only, and the meta
package ubuntu-desktop was not affected.
I understand the Ubuntu branding with the Dock on the left, etc. But
many Gnome users will try to install different extensions anyway, and
when they'll see that Ubuntu doesn't let them do that easily, or that
it breaks stuff, I fear a backlash for Ubuntu.
It's okay to personalize the desktop, but don't lock it or make it
difficult to customize. Linux is about choice. Please consider.
Thanks.
