Hi,
the conf file is uninstalled if you purge e.g. "apt remove --purge".
The logs should persist even a purge.
OTOH happy to hear that it worked on a retry, I'll mark it invalid as it is no more an issue.
But if you happen to find something good in those logs please share so that it can be checked if it is a real bug that has to be fixed.
